Born Punk is a cyberpunk point-n-click adventure game. It was developed by Australian studio Insert Disk 22.

Plot

The game is set in 2155 on Bornholm. Thanks to the space elevator built there, this sleepy island transformed into a gigantic metropolis, able to independently compete with the world's largest powers.

The game tells the story of three characters - the hacker Eevi, who is forced to earn a living as a barmaid, Mariposa, or the president of Bornholm's largest corporation, and a faulty android presenting itself as Grandmaster Flashdrive. All three become temporarily possessed by mysterious beings of unknown origin. Only by working together will the characters be able to discover the identity of these entities and their goals.

Game mechanics

Born Punk is a classic adventure game with point-n-click interface. We explore locations, conduct conversations, collect items and solve puzzles.

The production is strongly non-linear. Many puzzles have several alternative solutions, and chosen methods of completing tasks along with the plot decisions shape the development of the whole story.

An additional attraction is a detailed world. The game offers a lot of details about it, and by carefully searching the locations and scanning the objects with the help of the handheld computer, we can not only learn the elements of the story background, but also discover helpful information and even additional gameplay mechanics.
