Bomberman Hardball Description
The developers from Hudson Soft decided to expand on the classic formula by adding more disciplines to the well-known gameplay. Players can play golf, baseball, tennis, and even a type of a breeding game, in which you cater to a little game character throughout his entire life.
Bomberman Hardball offers classic gameplay set on a virtual maze where you place bombs to unlock passages. However, the authors expanded on this simple mechanics by adding several minor gameplay modifications, such as looking for a crown or collecting stars. Other modes, including golf, tennis, and baseball, let you play a single match or an entire tournament. In the case of tennis you can play either single or in doubles. Another game mode lets you create your own Bomberman who later takes part in other competitions. Here you can also watch your character’s behavior in between contests. The game uses the console’s in-build clock to plan Bomberman’s different activities.
The graphics in Hardball is colorful and has cartoonish, humorous stylistics. The developers did more than create simple combat animations and other moves. They also included lots of visual effects, such as blur, trails behind flying balls and replays after the best situations.
The game heavily emphasizes multiplayer gameplay. Up to four players can play together in the classic bombing mode, tennis or golf, and two in baseball.
