Produced by Chrysaor development studio, it plays a rhythmic game with elements of a 2D platformer. The player plays the role of a director, and his task is to direct the beginner actors and create a film in which all lovers of Bollywood's cinematography fall in love. The game is maintained in a humorous, cartoon visual convention.

Bollywood Wannabe is the first game produced by independent Canadian studio Chrysaor, whose founder is Catherine Levesque (previously working for Ubisoft, among others). The development team was inspired by the extremely popular productions of the Indian Bollywood.

The player plays the role of a scriptwriter, whose latest script was rejected by a professional label. However, the author does not give up and decides to stand behind the camera himself. He succeeds in engaging a couple of novice Bollywood stars - Kumar Khan and Kendra Kapoor. Together they want to make a film that will make the audience dance together with the actors.

In terms of gameplay Bollywood Wannabe is a mix of elements of rhythmic game and platformer. The player's task is to guide the actor through the board moving to the right, while performing dance moves. This requires above all a sense of rhythm and reflex in operating the keys on the keyboard. Performing a sufficiently long sequence of perfect tangles allows the next stats to join the dance.
