Boggle available on PlayStation 4 is a virtual version of the popular board game sharing the same title. Its original version was created in the United States in the beginning of the 1970s. Since then, it has gained considerable popularity, especially in Anglo-Saxon countries. The console adaptation is created by Frima, a Canadian studio known for games such as Chariot and Zombie Tycoon, as well as Ubisoft.
The rules do not differ from the most popular variant of the game, known from the tabletop version of Boogle. The task is to find as many words as possible from a drawn layout of letters. The letters are written on the walls of the cubes, which are put individually into sixteen compartments on a special tray with dimensions of 4x4. Each participant of the game in secret from others tries to find all possible words. They have only 3 minutes to find them. The winner is the one who finds the most unique and unrepeatable words. Mark them with a pad, letter by letter.
The game has a network multiplayer mode, allowing you to have fun for four people at the same time. Players can also compare their best scores with others thanks to the ranks.
Minimalistic gameplay has been designed so as not to distract attention from the essence of the game. Players won't notice the advanced visual effects or dynamic soundtrack.
