Bodycheck
Release Date: May 30, 2017
Sports, the middle ages, PlayStation exclusive, multiplayer, internet, LAN
An unusual variation on rugby, created by Ludometrics and set in a medieval, fantasy world. The player assumes control over a team of bullies whose task is to place the ball in the goal of the opponents by any means necessary. Each of the participants is described by its own health bar, and what follows, limited strength. Since the game is set in a world ruled by warlocks and their magic, this element was included in the mechanics as well.
Bodycheck Description
Bodycheck is an unusual rugby variety focused on multiplayer rivalry, set in the realities of.... the Middle Ages. The game was created for the PlayStation Vita portable console, and its creation is the responsibility of Ludometrics studio, specializing in mobile and browser productions.
In the game we stand at the head of a team of medieval donkeys, whose task is to place the ball at any price in the opponent's goal. Each of our athletes has his or her own life belt and, as a result, limited endurance. However, as the action takes place in times when (supposedly) sorcerers and their magic reigned, the game itself could not miss these elements either.
Bodycheck is a sport in which almost no rules apply and each of the ways to win is allowed. That's why we can use not only brutal fouls, weakening the opposing team, but also a whole mass of spells and a bit absurd gadgets, such as a "portable hole", into which inattentive players can fall. The cherry on the cake is the possibility of corrupting the referee, e.g. when we win, and there are still a few regular minutes left to the end of the match.
The game is focused on multiplayer mode, and in one match four teams can compete against each other at the same time. The game allows 4 players to have fun in both local and internet mode.
