A noir mix of an action and adventure game developed by the team at A Crowd of Monsters. We play as a former detective, Patton, who wants to face the wave of crime that plagues the city of Santa Esperanza, as well as the demons from his past. He must solve the case of a series of brutal murders, either by interrogating and speaking with key characters or through scenes straight from an action movie.

Blues And Bullets is an episodic production, which combines action and adventure elements, kept in a noir movie setting. The title has been developed by the A Crowd of Monsters studio, previously responsible for the iOS released Sugar Kid and Funk of Titans, received quite stiffly on the Xbox One console.

In Blues And Bullets we play the role of Patton – an ex-detective haunted by the demons of his past; because of his activities he has fallen into disfavor with the most influential gangsters, who are the ones wielding real power in the grim, dark and corrupt city of Santa Esperanza. Our hero has to oppose the wave of crime and solve the puzzle of a series of brutal murders, not only by interrogating witnesses, but also by talking to several key characters; however, the gameplay segments are also filled with a lot of action, e.g. dynamic and intense shoot-outs.

The decisions we make in the game are of extreme importance, as they directly influence the storyline, giving the player the feeling that it was actually his activities, which have led to the following consequences.

The graphics in Blues And Bullets are very distinctive and kept in the black and white colour pattern, which enhances the feeling of finding ourselves in the middle of the action of a noir movie. The more colourful elements, such as the lips of the femme fatale or the blood of enemies resemble such cinema hits as the two installments of Sin City. The map of the city is extremely detailed and filled with many interesting locations; it also serves as a means of telling the story, since in Blues And Bullets, the elements of the environment often hold extremely important information. The A Crowd of Monsters studio has used the motion-capture technique to develop their newest production.
