Bloodroots is a three-dimensional action game set in a western setting. We play the role of a man taking revenge on his partners, who left him for dead. The production is characterized by high interactivity of the world and high level of brutality. The independent team at Paper Cult (Fat Mask) is responsible for its creation.
Mechanics
The world of Bloodroots is observed from isometric perspective. We move our character around the locations (they are very diverse - we visit mountains, forests, towns, etc.) and kill enemies, using spectacular combos.
An interesting mechanics, thanks to which Paper Cult's game stands out in comparison to similar games by other developers, is the high interactivity of the environment. Almost everything that surrounds us - axes, ladders and even.... carrots - can be used as a weapon, and many items have unique move sets. Some of the things we carry also influence the way we move (for example, a ladder carried on a shoulder can be used as a pole to overcome a high obstacle in our path).
Game modes
Bloodroots offers single player mode only.
Technical aspects
Bloodroots has an interestingly designed three-dimensional visuals, which look quite good - despite their relative simplicity. The artistic style of the game evokes associations with animated films and web comics.
