A third-person survival horror, in which our keyboard is our primary tool. Blood Typers offers unique gameplay that revolves around typing words appearing on the screen. The action of the game takes place inside a movie studio which is now swarming with zombies. We can either play alone or in online coop mode.

Blood Typers is a survival horror game in which, in addition to a keen eye, the ability to type quickly (and preferably without looking at the keyboard) is also useful. The game was developed by the independent team Outer Brain Studios, which has so far specialized in horror projects (like Organ Quarter or Guilt: The Deathless).

Gameplay

In Blood Typers we take on the role of one of the characters trapped in a film studio overrun by zombies. The game provides us with heroes and heroines, varied in terms of statistics (health, endurance, violence, agility) and available perks.

Watching the action from a third-person perspective (TPP), we explore procedurally generated locations and fight enemies, collecting resources along the way that enable us to survive. Additionally, the gameplay is diversified by the need to deal with puzzles and traps set for us.

What sets this game apart from other representatives of the genre are the controls. We launch attacks by typing the words displayed on the screen. The whole thing works similarly to what we could see, for example, in the Typing Chronicles series. The game allows us to adjust the level of difficulty to individual preferences and skills.

Co-op

We can play Blood Typers alone or in cooperative mode over the Internet for up to four people. The game offers a voice chat that takes into account the distance between characters controlled by individual players.

The graphic design of Blood Typers was made using cel-shading technique. The style may evoke associations with games from the era of the first PlayStation console.
