An economic strategy about running a bar meant for vampires. In Blood Bar Tycoon we can prepare rooms for our guests, as well as hire the required personnel. We are also able to attract humans and suck out their blood needed for the cocktails, while trying to avoid the attention of hunters and the wrath of Elders at the same time.
Blood Bar Tycoon is an economic strategy in which we run the titular bar for vampires. The game is the debut work of the independent Belgian team Clever Trickster Studio.
Blood Bar Tycoon takes us to the fictional Crimson City. During the game, we play as a vampire who decides to open his own bar for bloodsuckers. As our business develops, our ambitions start to grow, so we have no choice but to open other places of this type, gradually taking control over the next districts of the city.
We must be vigilant, as our actions do not escape the attention of either vampire hunters or the Elders - the latter may bestow their favors upon us or, on the contrary, let us feel the consequences of their wrath.
In Blood Bar Tycoon the action is viewed in an isometric view. The game allows us to customize the appearance of the blood bar according to individual needs and preferences, erecting walls and finishing rooms at our discretion, arranging furniture or placing various decorations. Of course, a place of this kind is not only the main hall with tables, chairs and a bar serving bloody cocktails, but also guest rooms, as well as the entire backstage, without which running such a business would not be possible.
The back area of our bar contains a machine used for drawing blood from people, who need to be attracted to show up first. We must be careful not to suck the life out of them along with the blood, and also not to let starving customers get to them. For this purpose, it is useful to build a special detention center where our victims are safe (as if).
Deaths of innocent people bring us trouble in the form of vampire hunters, who do not hesitate to use any means to remove us from the urban landscape, including burning down our establishment. On the other hand, we must keep an eye on the supplies (and not allow them to be depleted) and the account balance (to avoid bankruptcy at all costs).
Apart from lower-level vampires, whom we employ as workers and set their priorities, higher lineage bloodsuckers also operate in the game world. Since they are the ones who run the city, we must take care of the Elders and their demands, trying to gain a place in their ranks. This is not easy, because the crazy Yumeko, seductive Sophie, or power-intoxicated Vladimir have their own personalities and preferences.
If we manage the difficult art of pleasing the higher vampires, then they will help us in the conquest of the districts of Crimson City, where we will build the next blood bars. Otherwise, the elders can severely punish us, significantly hindering our business operations or even completely preventing them.
