Block N Load 2 is the second installment of the multiplayer shooter series launched in 2015. Unlike the original, which was developed by the Jagex studio, this game was created by Toadman Interactive.

Plot

The story told in Block N Load 2 revolves around portals allowing travel in time and space, which were constructed millions of years ago by an advanced civilization. Those who use them are trapped in the thicket of an infinite number of space-time lines, and their return home is basically impossible. Some travelers from different races and times settle in foreign places and arrange their lives anew, while others, known as Travelers, constantly try to return to where they came from. As each portal has only one key, Travelers are forced into a constant battle to the death. We take on the role of the Travelers, who are unexpectedly transported 1,000 years into the future.

Game mechanics

In Block N Load 2 we observe the action from a first-person perspective (FPP). The game takes place in a variety of arenas, where two teams of five players face off and engage in exciting skirmishes, with the goal of destroying the base (or bases) of the enemies. As was the case in the first part of the series, we build the bases on our own, based on the resources we acquired earlier. The developers give us at our disposal 40 types of blocks, from which we can build various structures; nothing prevents us from trying to surprise opponents by digging tunnels, through which we can easily get to their backs.

The production puts at our disposal a number of characters, among whom we can find both brand new heroes and characters known from the first installment of the series. As they are diversified in terms of preferred weaponry and combat skills, the key to success is to compose the team in such a way that its individual members complement each other. We can take on, among others, characters typically offensive, snipers, heroes specialized in defense or support and healing units.

Block N Load 2 allows only multiplayer gameplay. The title offers several game modes.

Technical aspects

Compared to the original, Block N Load 2 stands out due to its thoroughly refreshed graphics. While the cubic blocks from which we build bases evoke associations with Minecraft, the rest of its elements have been kept in an eye-pleasing, cartoonish style, which brings to mind Fortnite or Overwatch games.
