Bleeding Edge Description
Bleeding Edge is another production of Ninja Theory studio, also known for creating Heavenly Sword and DmC: Devil May Cry. Unlike their previous works, Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice, which tackled the difficult subject of mental illness, Bleeding Edge announced at the E3 2019 is a much less serious production, with colorful visuals and a gameplay aimed at multiplayer experience.
Mechanics
In Bleeding Edge two teams of four warriors compete against each other. Battles focus on close combat and the use of special skills. Each player can choose from twelve available heroes with different abilities and roles on the battlefield. Some heroes are therefore primarily concerned with healing their companions, others with providing support from a distance, and yet others with eliminating enemies. Characters received their own set of additional skills - from generating shields, to locking the opponent in a cage or glowing fire, to the ability to take control of the selected enemy. Strategic thinking when composing a team, so that the specific abilities match the talents of other players, is therefore an important part of the final success.
Technical aspects
Bleeding Edge has a colorful design that brings to mind games such as Overwatch, with distinctive character models that are easy to recognize in battle turmoil.
