The Plot
Unlike many other fighting games, BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma Extend for PC, PS3 and etc. focuses heavily on the plot. The extended version offers new chapters and characters we will meet during the campaign. The plot-based part of the game works as a Visual Novel. Most of the time we observe scenes with changing backgrounds and dialogues displayed on them. Every now and then we will have to fight with an encountered enemies. The outcome of those battles influences the plot.
Mechanics
Combat system in BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma Extend for PC, PS3 and etc. did not change that much since the 2013 launch of the original game. Battles are still extremely dynamic and eye-catching, and controls are still as intuitive as they were. There are, however, some new additional options, like the refreshed Guard System or four new Stylish Mode stances: Auto Guard, Combo Attacks, Special Abilities, and Distortion Drive. They allow new players to easier understand basic combinations and tactics. It is especially helpful when one has to get used to the styles presented by two new characters: Celicia and Lambda. Including them, there are 28 playable characters in the game.
Game Modes
Though the game has a single player camapaign, multiplayer is still the most important mode in BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma Extend for PC, PS3 and etc.. Players from all around the world can compete against each other in 1 vs 1 ranked and unranked matches. Like in the original game, we still get experience for winning and doing combos.
Misc.
Visuals in the PC, PS3 and etc. version of BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma Extend were improved. The game is still in 2D, but the character models are more detailed and their portraits are displayed in higher resolution.
