Black: Second Mission
Sequel is a very popular first person Black shooter. The plot of the game presents further adventures of Sergeant Jacek Kellar. A member of the elite CIA Special Operations Division is once again faced with people threatening peace in the world.
developer: Criterion Games publisher: Electronic Arts Inc.
Released in 2006, Black: Second Mission gained the title of one of the most interesting and beautifully FPS games released on PlayStation 2 and Xbox. Encouraged by the success, the devs at Criterion Games embarked to prepare a sequel for then next-gen platforms - PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
The plot of Black: Second Mission continues the threads presented in the first part. Players will learn about the future fate of Sergeant Jacek Keller, famous for his insubordination as a member of the elite CIA unit for counteracting global terrorism. When fragile peace in the world comes back to the brink of collapse, the specialist for effective and spectacular elimination of enemies must enter the action.
As befits a classic, action-packed FPS, the gameplay in Black: Second Mission is geared towards dynamic shooting sequences. A large arsenal of weapons has been put at the player's disposal, and the key to each mission is to choose the right type of weapon, with which Keller will be equipped.
The single-player campaign consists of a number of missions located in different locations. It is complemented by a fully functional multiplayer, enabling us to fight against live opponents in several game variants.
Note: work on the game was suspended around 2009. After Stuart Black (chief designer Black) left Criterion Games, the chances of project getting completed have dropped practically to zero.
