Black 9 is the next work of programmers responsible for Star Trek: Starfleet Command III. The new product is a combination of dynamic action, motifs known from the cRPG genre and spy elements of a'la Metal Gear Solid and Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell. The whole thing is kept in a convention that brings to mind the best books and science-fiction films.
The plot takes us back to the penultimate decade of the 21st century, when nine powerful cartels called Illuminati fight each other to take a dominant position within the human race. We play the role of a mercenary (a sexy woman, an ordinary man, a genetically modified "muscle" and a small and agile elf), who has a large arsenal of weapons and other useful gadgets at his disposal. The main character has a number of personal coefficients and special skills, determining the method of overcoming the encountered problems (reading opponents and logical puzzles). A big influence on the course of action has on how we develop these individual features of the protagonist of this production (including strength, endurance, dexterity or agility) and what class of character we decide to play. There are several choices, including a warrior, a thief and a nano-technology specialist (so called "magic" in the game world).
During the game we visit many different locations, including futuristic visions of the Far East cities of Shanghai, Macau and Seoul. In addition to the standard single-player mode, developers have also implemented multiplayer, which allows you to play multiplayer online.
On the other hand, the course of events is presented from the third person's perspective (TPP), and the rendering of the visual setting has been entrusted to the Unreal Warfare "engine", previously used e.g. in Unreal II: The Awakening. The realistic functioning of the physical model is ensured by Karma algorithms developed by MathEngine studio.
