BIT.TRIP BEAT
BEAT is another game from the BIT.TRIP series, that is titles combining the classic assumptions of the most popular productions from the past with various improvements and references to music.
developer: Choice Provisions / Gaijin Games publisher: Aksys Games
BIT.TRIP BEAT, released on Wii and PC, was developed by Gaijin Games. This is the first game in the series that combines old patterns from the most popular games with today's solutions. The authors took a lot of inspiration from the popular and immortal PONG.
Mechanics
The goal in BIT.TRIP BEAT is to hit the balls with the use of a rack suspended in one part of the screen. This time, however, each ball flying towards the screen is an element of the titular BEAT, which after deflecting transforms into a specific rhythm. The players' task is to bounce the balls off in such a way that they bring out the right rhythm and thus create a highly scored combo and appropriate melodies.
Technical aspects
The audiovisual setting of the whole title emphasizes its musical character. Gaijin Games' selection of soundtrack is great for fun, while ascetic graphics, similar to PONG, help you to focus on the gameplay.
