Game mechanics

B.I.O.T.A. is a side-scroller. Moving through the mining colony, we jump on platforms and avoid traps, as well as deal with the extermination of the masterminds into which the miners have mutated. On our way stand both serial opponents, whom we send to the sand in bulk, and much more powerful than them bosses. We eliminate enemies, making use of a futuristic arsenal. The gameplay is varied by stages in which we take control of a submarine, a powerful moth, and even a spaceship. As we progress, we unlock new mercenaries (a total of 8 characters have been prepared), whom we develop over time, so they can face more and more dangers.

Game modes

In addition to the main missions, special time trials and challenges involving shooting at designated targets await to be checked in B.I.O.T.A.

Technical aspects

What makes the B.I.O.T.A. game stand out is the graphics. It is kept in the style of pixel art, and the program allows us to choose from 54 four-color color palettes; thanks to this, we can make the game look like Game Boy console titles or 8-bit classics from the era of slot machines. The game is accompanied by a catchy soundtrack from the synthwave and chiptune genres.
