Bilkins' Folly

Mechanics

Bilkins' Folly makes use of the top-down perspective. The player traverses successive islands and discovers their secrets. We'll meet the islands' inhabitants, helping them with their problems (how we treat them affects their relationships with us) and recruit crew members.

All the while, we're accompanied by Drayton the dog; as our bond strengthens, we can start upgrading his skills. Throughout the game we'll face many different puzzles. Some require the help of Drayton (he can search for valuable, useful items), others can only be solved later on in the game.

There's also fishing, treasure seeking contests and various mini-games, like herding sheep or lockpicking.
