Biathlon Champion 2007 is a sports game based on the popularity of biathlon in Germany after the success of Ricco Gros at the Turin Olympics. The title was produced by the Slovak studio So What!, known from Curling 2006 simulation.
The player plays the role of a biathlete and takes part in competitions involving various competitions related to this sport (e.g. sprint, chase run, joint start run, team run). The game allows you to choose one of the predefined, fictitious players or create your own character from scratch, selecting parameters specified by 8 factors (e.g. skiing ability, endurance and accuracy).
The game includes two aspects. During the race, the player has to adjust the effort of the competitor in order to maintain a relatively fast pace for as long as possible. With the help of a virtual trainer, who gives you tips on the right run. During a visit to the shooting range, what counts is mastery and an accurate eye. Measurement to the disc is performed automatically taking into account the biathlonist's fatigue and accuracy parameter. The player only has to press the rifle trigger at the right moment. Each "box" is associated with a penalty for a given competition (e.g. the need to make a penalty round).
The creators of the game envisaged several variants of fun. Players can try their hand at individual competitions or take care of their careers. Arcade mode allows you to train your skiing and target shooting skills. For lovers of rivalry with living opponents, there is a "chase the spirit" option, i.e. a record of another player's run.
