Beyond Contact is a survival action game in which we explore an alien planet. It is a debut of Australian Playcorp Studios.

Plot

The action takes place in the year 2766. We play as Quinn Hicks, a member of elite Space Corps. The heroine is sent on a mission to save the inhabitants of the alien planet Ketern, which began to fall into pieces. What's worse - a mysterious energy is emitted from its core, which may speed up the annihilation of the local civilization.

Mechanics

Beyond Contact is a sandbox action game with adventure game elements. The game takes place in a sandbox world offering a lot of freedom of action, and the gameplay focuses on the survival aspect. Player has to explore alien planet, avoid natural dangers (including extreme weather events) and fight with local fauna using shooter skirmish system.

During the game we collect resources, produce items, improve technologies and build bases. We can also become a farmer and grow plants and raise animals. We also make contact with aliens and discover lost technologies.

Game modes

Beyond Contact offers a campaign and a sandbox free mode, in which we can play endlessly. Both variants of gameplay are available for single player and cooperative multiplayer.
