Bet on Soldier: Black-out Saigon is the second (after Blood on Sahara), the official addition to the innovative FPP shooter, combining the basic features of classic shooting with multi-threaded gameplay and economic aspects. This extension to the series brings, first of all, additional fictional content and a new thematic theme, referring to the tropical jungles of Vietnam (hence the title).
The Saigon region was not particularly dangerous for many years, mainly due to the ceasefire that had been in force so far. However, the relatively quiet and well located area was immediately noticed by the VAN decision-makers, who decided to take control of the area and create numerous training camps for their best soldiers. They functioned without major disruptions until the VAN exchange lost connection to its East Asian bases for unknown reasons. It quickly became clear that there were spies from a competitive organisation, the WRF, behind it. It was decided to send an appropriate reconnaissance and battle brigade to the place of the event, the aim of which was to explain the whole situation. Scriptwriters from Kylotonn throw the player into the body of Hang Shaiming, a young VAN soldier, who is, of course, one of the above mentioned rapid reaction forces. Moved to the Far East, he has to fight for survival in difficult tropical conditions, seeking to break up the influence of an enemy syndicate.
The authors have prepared a total of eight new levels, set in Vietnamese-like realities, for the user's experience. New tools of extermination were also prepared and put into use (e.g. assault rifle and probably the most powerful weapon in the game: Exoskeleton) and a new set of clothes (clothing of a VAN soldier with a jungle camouflage). On our way we meet a total of eight new champions, including Rodrigo Mendes and James Anderson. The storyline background is enhanced by a two-part collection of films depicting the "life and work" of Black-out Saigon's main warrior, Hang Shaigong. Finally, the authors collected the most interesting ideas of Bet on Soldier fans and then implemented them, which of course has a positive impact on the playability of this extension.
