Eighth installment of an excellent series of historical strategies Battleground. This time we can experience two battles: the Battle of Ligny and Quatre-Bras, which, despite Napoleon's victory, weakened him very much and decided on the later defeat of the great commander at Waterloo.

The next, eighth installment of the cult strategic series, created by John Tiller and TalonSoft. In this part of the game the creators continue the theme of Napoleonic times, initiated by Waterloo and Napoleon in Russia.

On 16 June 1805, two battles took place, with which Napoleon, returning from exile in Elbe, wanted to pave the way to power again. In the clashes that took place at Ligny and Quatre-Bras, despite the superiority of the allied forces, the decisive factor was the undecided Marshal Ney, as a result of which Bonaparte managed to win. However, the success was half-hearted: enough enemy soldiers survived in the battle to inflict a decisive blow on Napoleon two days later in the Battle of Waterloo.

The series is characterized by unparalleled realism and historical accuracy. The authors faithfully recreate the authentic uniforms and equipment of the troops involved in the skirmish. Movements of regiments are shown with an accuracy of 100 meters, because so much more or less represents one field on the hexagonal battle map. According to the tradition of the cycle, players can take part in both full battles, or play one of the 20 scenarios in which we can stand on either side of the conflict.
