Battlefield 4: Final Stand

Final Stand for PC, XONE and etc. is the fifth and final expansion for Battlefield 4 by Electronic Arts, an FPS game with a multiplayer focus. Like the core game, the DLC was developed by Swedish studio DICE.

Mechanics

Like in previous expansions, the main attraction of Final Stand are the new maps. The DLC adds four previously unavailable arenas (Operation Whiteout, Hammerhead, Giants of Karelia, Hangar 21), which are set in Russia; they feature e.g. a snowy wilderness and an underground research facility. The latter are worth special attention, as the main theme of the expansion are military experiments conducted by Russian scientists, who want to change the tide of the war by developing new technologies.

Fittingly, the game allows you to use various futuristic weapons, resembling those from science-fiction movies (and Battlefield 2142). Final Stand features e.g. a hover tank and an electromagnetic rifle powered by kinetic energy.
