Battlefield 3: Back to Karkand Description
Battlefield 3: Back to Karkand is an official add-on for the popular shooter, Battlefield3, developed by EA DICE. It introduces new maps, vehicles, weapons, and other items. The package is meant primarily for the veterans of the Battlefield series, but it should also appeal to the new players, because it offers completely reworked battlefields.
In Back to Karkand, we go back to the maps known from Battlefield 2 which are now considered a part of the history of the genre. The developers recreated such popular and classical arenas as Strike at Karkand, Gulf of Oman, Wake Island, and Sharqi Peninsula. The arsenal available for players has also been expanded with a total of ten new guns and three previously unavailable vehicles (STOVL fighter, desert buggy, and an armored personnel carrier).
All of the above attractions, familiar to the fans of the previous installment of the series, were processed in a newer technology (Frostbite 2). This means that the maps, weapons and vehicles have changed beyond recognition – the engine that powers Battlefield 3 allows for, inter alia, the biggest extent of destruction than in Battlefield 2. Back to Karkand also includes a classic Conquest Assault game mode in which one team controls all the flags, while the other has to obtain them.
Battlefield 3 is a popular shooter with a solo campaign and an expanded multiplayer mode. In multiplayer, we can choose one of four character classes and drive various vehicles. A characteristic feature of the series are huge battlefields and the destruction system mentioned above that allows you to destroy even entire buildings.
