Subsequent rumors indicate that DICE used to work on the continuation of Battlefield: Bad Company. "Used to” because the devs are said to have abandoned the idea and the new installment of the series will take us into the near future.

EA informed that the new installment of the Battlefield series will be released in two years' time at the earliest. Next year the publisher will focus on the development of Apex Legends.
