Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - The Deluxe Edition for PC, PSV and etc. is an enhanced version of Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate which was released for handheld consoles. The franchise owner, Warner Bros. Interactive, decided that the game will come out for home gaming systems via digital distribution channels.

Story

The story continues the themes of Batman: Arkham Origins. Therefore, the players have the opportunity to experience more of Batman’s adventures prior to him becoming the Dark Knight. The action is set in the title Blackgate prison, which is located on an island near the city of Gotham. Batman is called there to quell a riot started by the inmates.

Gameplay

Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - The Deluxe Edition is a so-called beat ‘em up game. The player observes the events from a characteristic side camera, although the characters can move in the third dimension to a limited extent as well.

The gameplay is focused on three things: exploration, combat (regular enemies as well as special bosses), and interaction with encountered characters and environment elements. In the game, the protagonist can make use of various items and gadgets (batarang, rope launcher, and others). The developers did not forget about special gameplay options known from the previous installments of the series, such as the predator, and detective modes. Both the former and the latter were adjusted to the different genre which the game presents.

Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - The Deluxe Edition for PC, PSV and etc. offers improved graphics at a higher resolution, support for 5.1 surround sound, fully voiced-over narration and cutscenes, as well as a modified map, tutorials, and mission journal.
