The player has the opportunity to lead a baseball team and take part in tournaments that have been held for over a hundred years (1901-2012). The production of Sports Mogul studio is distinguished by an extensive database of authentic players and teams, as well as advanced simulation mechanisms.
Developed since 1997, the Baseball Mogul series is considered to be one of the best cycles of baseball sports managers. In preparing Baseball Mogul 2013, developers from the Sports Mogul studio decided to enrich the well-known game mechanics with new elements, including a new play-by-play simulation engine and an updated database of teams and players (17,000 names of authentic baseball players).
Following the previous versions of the cycle, the player plays the role of manager, owner and coach of the baseball team. His responsibilities include negotiating contracts with players, catching talents and making transfers, determining the composition of the team, managing concessions and setting ticket prices.
The game offers the possibility of directing any team from the database of the American baseball league games in the years 1901-2012, as well as the possibility of creating your own team and players. Among the changes introduced in Baseball Mogul 2013 the most important is the new play-by-play engine. It allows you to reproduce with great accuracy the probability of events on the pitch, so that the match simulation element is not limited to randomly generated digits, and the player's actions have a clear impact on the final result of each game.
Developers also decided to develop a system of statistics used to create online rankings. Thanks to this, comparisons of achievements of individual players are more accurate and reliable.
Baseball Mogul 2013 is fully compatible with earlier versions of the cycle. As a result, players can use the records of the state of play made in previous games in this series. The possibility of editing files from the database by hand has also been made easier.
