Baseball Advance is, as the name suggests, a sports game. This title takes up the theme of baseball, of course. This sport is very popular almost exclusively in the United States and with this in mind the market was prepared. At the same time, GameBoy Advance has only seen a few baseball products. These include games such as Backyard Baseball or High Heat Baseball. SEGA, a company well known to players, is responsible for the production of this game. The product itself appeared exclusively on the Nintendo portable console. In addition, Baseball Advance does not contain any multiplayer modes. The game was created solely with a view to the tastes of a single player.

Despite the fact that we are dealing here with a product issued on a portable console, the MLB organization, the most popular American baseball league, has been fully licensed. The license covers the full 2001 season and as a result we can take control of each of the thirty participating teams. Of course, the real compositions and names of the teams were taken care of. Slightly worse is the issue of sports facilities, on which the next competitions are held. Only four stadiums appeared in the game. And they are: Safeco Field, Pac Bell Park, Fenway Park and Wrigley Field. In addition, the player does not have the ability to make any modifications, so you have to reckon with the fact that we are limited to the elements contained in the game.

In many ways, the game resembles its "adult" counterpart, the Home Run King game released on the Gamecube console. As you can guess, this is a slightly more difficult product than competing games of the genre. This applies in particular to the performance of activities such as hitting the ball thrown by the pitcher. It should also be added that each of the players has been described by several basic coefficients. They show, among other things, the speed or impact force. The Baseball Advance visual luminaire presents a fairly high level of workmanship. We are dealing here with both an isometric projection and a view from a third person's perspective. This view only comes into play when the ball flying towards us is hitting.
