Baldur's Gate: Tales of the Sword Coast Description
Tales of the Sword Coast is the expansion for Baldur’s Gate. The action here is more RPG-like; there is much less exploration in search of points of interest. The labyrinths finally pose some challenge: traps, secret passages, teleportation, doppelgangers making us unsure what is true and what is false. And the monsters which are more than a match for our party. Tales of the Sword Coast is not a sequel to Baldur’s Gate, though, but merely an expansion pack. The action of the add-on takes place outside the main story and is a separate set of quests. In order to play it, Baldur’s Gate must be installed.
- Over 70 new items and some new monsters.
- Over 20 new spells for the mage and the priests.
- Experience point cap raised from 89000 to 161000 which gives us the possibility of advancing to higher levels.
- Four new areas with many locations. There is about 20 additional hours of gameplay ahead of you.
