Bakery Simulator

Bakery Simulator is a simulation game developed by the independent studio Live Motion Games, also known for Car Trader Simulator. The game was published by Ultimate Games, and enables the players to run their own bakery located in a picturesque mountain town.

Mechanics

In Bakery Simulator we observe the action from first-person perspective. The fun begins with choosing a place to rent for our bakery. Then we have to take care of the most important equipment for our business, such as the oven and fermentation chamber, shelves or tools. Then, we can finally proceed with the execution of orders, which are gradually beginning to arrive to us from nearby shops and restaurants. This requires us to choose the ingredients, beat and form the dough and finally put it in the properly heated oven for a certain amount of time; in addition, we are responsible for manually loading the goods into the truck and delivering it to our customers on time.

Although the mainstay of our activity is baking bread and rolls, with time our baking becomes more and more sophisticated - croissants and baguettes begin to come out of our hands, and later also specialties straight from Italy, Georgia or Poland; all this is complemented by special orders, for example, for the preparation of sculptures made of bread. Their completion requires us not only to obtain relevant recipes (which can be found in cookbooks), but also specific ingredients such as special types of flour, yeast and sourdough starter.

We spend the earned money on new equipment for our bakery, thanks to which we can spread our wings over time and carry out more orders, which in turn will be reflected in the increasing number of zeroes in our account. However, if we are known to be good producers and suppliers, other bakeries will open up and go broke.... unless something unexpected happens along the way.

Technical aspects

Bakery Simulator features three-dimensional visuals of decent quality. The bakery equipment, which is designed in detail, may be particularly appealing. The physics engine deserves a separate mention, which not only provided the realistic behavior of objects, but also allows for a bit of fun - nothing stands in the way of throwing the order list in the oven (and then set the kitchen furniture on fire with it) or try to distribute bread around the city with an open flap of the trunk.
