Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 Description
Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 is a continuation of the two-dimensional action game for 3DS released in 2014. The title was created by the authors of the first game - Inti Creates studio, known primarily from the Mega Man Zero series.
Plot
The action of Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 takes place in the near future, in a world where Adept, people with superpowers, are born. One of them is Gunvolt, who after the events shown in the first part slowly heals the wounds. However, he can't go back to full strength - he and Copen has to face a new threat.
Mechanics
Gameplay in Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 resembles a modernised Mega Man. The game consists of traversing successive locations and defeating enemies. Players can use both firearms and special powers. Interestingly, while Gunvolt is a regular Adept able to control lightning, Copen is different. The boy is the son of a famous scientist, thanks to which he came into possession of advanced technology and a combat bot called Lol. He was also trained in martial arts. All this makes him much more dangerous than many other Adepts.
The great attraction of Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 are the clashes with powerful bosses who, like Gunvolt, have special skills. Fighting them is extremely demanding and forces the player to memorize their powers and attack patterns.
Technical aspects
Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 on 3DS offers decent visuals. The graphics style used in the game doesn't differ from that of the first part, so we are dealing with a game reminiscent of classic action platformers with eye-catching attacks and special powers animations.
