Avicii Invector is a classic music and rhythm game, offering a unique opportunity to have fun listening to the works of the renowned DJ Avicii. The title's developer is the independent Swedish studio Hello There Games, known for Kung Fury: Street Rage. Avicii Invector is a new and improved version of Invector, released in 2017 exclusively on PlayStation 4, both produced in collaboration with Tim Bergling, a prematurely deceased Swedish composer and musician known as Avicii, who made himself known to the world through his numerous and popular house and EDM songs. Part of the revenue from the sales of the game was used to support the Tim Bergling Foundation, which promotes the knowledge of mental illnesses.

Plot

Avicii Invector offers a total of 25 levels divided into six worlds. All of them are linked by a fantastic story of a brave woman who travels all over the galaxy in search of... a chocolate bat stuffed with nuts.

Mechanics

The course of the game is extremely simple and is based on the formula known to fans of games such as Amplitude and Rock Band. While playing, we control one of the three available spaceships. The vehicle's route is predetermined according to the tempo of the background music. We are cannot choose the speed of our vehicle, the only thing we can do is to press the specific buttons corresponding to the symbols appearing on the screen at the right moment. Creators have prepared three levels of difficulty, so even beginners will find something for themselves.

Game modes

Apart from playing in the campaign and on the unlocked routes, the devs have also prepared a multiplayer mode for up to four people. We can compete with others via the Internet, as well as locally on split screen. Additionally, thanks to online leaderboards, we can compare our achievements with our friends.
