Attack on Titan: Wings of Freedom Description
Attack on Titan: Wings of Freedom is a TPP action game, which is an digital adaptation of manga/anime series titled Attack on Titan (jap. Shingeki no Kyojin), published on PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox One and PSV. The game was developed by the experienced Japanese studio Omega Force, known for many hack'n'slash titles (including the Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors series).
Story
Just like the original, the game takes us to the gloomy world after the apocalypse. Humanity is in a desperate struggle against the giant Titans, protecting itself from them in cities surrounded by high walls. Attack on Titan: Wings of Freedom is an adaptation of the events presented in the first season of the anime Attack on Titan, placing the characters known from manga/anime series in the main roles.
Gameplay
As befits an action game developed by hack'n'slash specialists, Attack on Titan: Wings of Freedom focuses on combat with the title Titans. During the battles, the player spends most of their time in the air (the developer rendered the unique movements using the Three Dimensional Maneuver Gear), circling around the giants and launching single, precisely targeted attacks, which aim to deprive the opponents of successive limbs and, in the final move, felling them to the ground. At the same time, one must remember to avoid being crushed or caught by the Titans. The players can start the battle alone or in teams of up to four players (also in co-op mode), giving simple instructions to the companions.
During the breaks between missions we visit the camp, where we engage in conversations with NPCs (we can accept side quests from them) and repair our weapons and replenish the gas used by Three Dimensional Maneuver Gear. There is also an option to improve yur inventory with resources acquired from the Titans and develop your character's skills.
Technical aspects
Attack on Titan: Wings of Freedom features high-quality three-dimensional visuals that use cel-shading effect to create comic-book-like graphics. Voice actors working on the anime series lent voices to the heroes of the game.
