A sequel to the action game based on the manga Attack on Titan created by Hajime Isayama. The players once again assume the role of members of Scout Regiment, tasked with defending the walls attacked by the titular Titans. The game features story campaign and cooperation multiplayer mode. The title features nice three-dimensional graphics.
Attack on Titan 2: Future Coordinates is the second entry in the series of action games developed by Spike Chunsoft and based on the popular manga Attack on Titan that was written by Hajime Isayama. Similarly to its predecessor, the title was released for 3DS.
Plot
The 3DS version of Attack on Titan 2: Future Coordinates continues the plot of the first game. The players once again assume the role of the members of the Scout Regiment (including Mikasa Ackerman and Eren Jaeger), tasked with defending the walls attacked by the titular Titans.
Mechanics
When working on Attack on Titan 2: Future Coordinates for 3DS, the developers decided not to introduce any revolutionary changes to the gameplay mechanics. The action is presented from a third-person perspective and the gameplay is focused on fights against opponents eliminated with melee weapons. Defeating the titular Titans require learning their behavior and attacks, discovering their weak points and thus gaining advantage on the battlefield.
Game modes
The main mode in Attack on Titan 2: Future Coordinates is the story mode that can be completed alone. The game also features multiplayer cooperation mode for up to four players.
Technical aspects
The three-dimensional graphics of Attack on Titan 2: Future Coordinates for 3DS are of high quality. Spectacular animations of attacks performed by protagonists are especially praiseworthy.
