Atlantica is a typical game of the action/FPS genre, created in 3D graphics (Insanity3D engine). The action takes place several thousand years before our era on the mythical land of Atlantis, and the plot's axis is a story about a simple soldier....
First thousands of years ago, two brothers came to the earth to teach its inhabitants all the secrets of energy and power. People quickly learned new knowledge, began to build big cities and advanced constructions - the more they knew, the more they wanted to know. It was a wonderful time, but one day the brothers came out against each other, with the outbreak of a huge and bloody war. The surviving brother proclaimed himself the absolute ruler of Atlantis, but it was predicted that his killed brother would return one day.... Over the years, this serious prophecy evolved into a fairy tale told to young children before bedtime.
Our hero is aware of the danger hanging over the Atlantic, breaking with his life to fight to save the world. The adventure prepared by programmers from Lonely Cat Games studio (co-authors of Hidden & Dangerous) is divided into a series of missions connected by a non-linear plot. The game has three aspects/layer. The first one is a dynamic game characteristic for so-called shooters. So we have a typical range of movements, the ability to use a rich arsenal of weapons (including: bow, spear, sword, and also a flame thrower) and numerous, sometimes demonic opponents. The second aspect is an extensive and multithreaded plot with numerous unexpected twists and turns of the plot, which many a novelist would not be ashamed of. The third aspect is the characteristic atmosphere created by the architecture of mystical civilization, exotic locations and the dynamic world in which the action takes place - there are different people here, each with its own function in society (fishermen, slaves, blacksmiths, soldiers, merchants, etc.)
