Astro's Playroom Description
Astro's Playroom is a three-dimensional platformer that continues the 2018 release of Astro Bot: Rescue Mission - but unlike that production, it's not a game that requires PlayStation VR virtual reality goggles. Sony Interactive Entertainment is responsible for the development and release of the game.
Mechanics
Astro's Playroom is quite a classic 3D platformer, in which the action is observed from the third person perspective - most often it is a view from behind the hero's back ( TPP), but not always, because the camera moves to show the player different parts of the levels. The fun is to explore locations, jump between platforms and perform simple puzzles. From time to time, we also find enemies that we can avoid or overpower with fast punches. We also collect coins during the game.
Game modes
We can only play alone in Astro's Playroom. The core of the game is the single player mode.
Technical aspects
Astro's Playroom has very nice, three-dimensional graphics. Locations and characters are very detailed and nicely animated. The lighting system is also very impressive. It is worth noting that the game is maintained in a very colorful artistic style, which may appeal to both older and younger players.
It is worth noting that the game has been designed to use the advanced vibration capabilities of the DualSense pad to highlight the various things we see on screen (e.g. rain).
Other information
Astro's Playroom is a free game that is pre-installed on your PlayStation 5.
