Asterix & Obelix XXXL: The Ram From Hibernia is an action adventure game with beat'em up elements. The game, based on the license of the cult comic books by Rene Goscinny and Albert Uderzo, was developed by the OSome Studio team and published by Microids.

Plot

The action of the game Asterix & Obelix XXXL: The Ram From Hibernia takes place in the distant year of 50 BC, when almost all of Gaul has been conquered by the Romans, and only one small village is standing up to the invaders. Not wanting Hibernia (modern-day Ireland) to fall prey to the evil empire as well, Keratine, or the daughter of the chief Whiskitonix, calls on the heroes to the rescue. Asterix and Obelix must not only help repel the Roman invasion, but also bring back Whiskitonix's beloved golden ram. In doing so, the heroes can count on the help of the druid Getafix, who is working on a potion that provides extra power to anyone who tastes it....

Game mechanics

In Asterix & Obelix XXXL: The Ram From Hibernia, we observe the action from a top-down view. The adventure, divided into six chapters, leads us through a variety of locations, scattered throughout Hibernia. Wandering through them, we complete the tasks set before us, solve puzzles and collect items, as well as confront hoards of enemies. The fights are dynamic, and during them we have to show not only dexterity and reflexes, but also ingenuity. The combat system places a premium on performing spectacular combos and using a variety of items.
