Assault Gunners HD Edition

Assault Gunners HD Edition is a 3D action game in which players get to control mighty mechs and complete dangerous missions. This is the remastered edition of the 2012's game released only in Japan for PlayStation Vita. The game was developed by Shade Inc.

Plot

The action of the game is set in the year 208X on Mars that is being terraformed. Earth is being consumed by a grand war that forces people to look for new homes. Those who migrate build colonies inside habitable domes. Moreover, on the moons orbiting Mars, there are multiple military bases. One day, soldiers stationed there loose contact with the surface of the Red Planet...

Mechanics

Assault Gunners HD Edition is an action game in which players observe the action from the third person perspective (TPP). When controlling the machine, one has to eliminate consecutive enemies using a variety of ranged weapons: carbines, lasers, rocket launchers, etc. During the game, one can also use the help of AI-controlled allies. Players get at their disposal numerous mechs that additionally can be customized with the modification system including dozens of new parts and weapons.

Game modes

Assault Gunners HD Edition offers only the single-player mode. Players can enjoy a campaign comprising several dozen missions as well as the horde mode called Inferno.

Technical aspects

Assault Gunners HD Edition features 3D visuals that unfortunately is not bound to stun players - after all, this is only a remastered PS Vita game. The visuals, however, are clearly inspired by anime.
