Assassin's Creed: Revelations - The Lost Archive Description
The Lost Archive is another DLC for Assassin's Creed: Revelations. This time, Ubisoft Montreal expanded the story told in the base game. The add-on allows you to further explore the foundations of the story in the series, and offers extra hours of gameplay. It also adds a few minor upgrades to in-game play modes. This DLC is available only via digital distribution.
The Lost Archive allows you to explore the story of Lucy Stillman and Object 16, a mysterious assassin named Clay Kaczmarek. People who completed the main story of the game may know him – the new missions shed more light on his past. He is a descendant of Ezio Auditore de Firenze, and is related to Desmond and Queen Isabella. He also had ancestors who took part in the Battle of Gettysburg and ones who lived in the Ancient Rome. On the other hand, Lucy is one of the Assassins, a person well-known from previous parts of the series.
The new missions in this expansion are played out inside the Animus – a device able to create a virtual projection of the past events read from the genetic memory of a user. The authors provided proper narration for the story interwoven into gameplay, which focuses on solving puzzles and completing arcade sequences. On average, it takes about 2 hours to complete The Lost Archive.
The expansion also brings some minor additions. Among them, there is an extra mission (Vlad the Impaler Prison), three outfits for single player campaign (Ezio Turkish Assassin Armour, Altair Robe, Armour of Brutus), three characters in multiplayer mode (The Crusader, Ottoman Jester, Ottoman Doctor), as well as increased capacity of bullets, crossbow bolts, and bombs. The title uses Anvil graphics engine, just as the base game did.
