Asgard's Wrath is a VR action game developed by Sanzaru Games, known for such games as Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time.

Plot

Asgard's Wrath is set in a fantasy universe of Norse mythology. We play as the god of animals, a new deity created by Loki. In exchange for granting us power, the trickster god expects us to help his chosen heroes achieve their goals. We must get to work before our benefactor loses his patience with us.

Mechanics

Asgard's Wrath is a first-person game. The player traverses various locations, completes main quests, side missions, solves puzzles and fights enemies.

We play both as the deity and as mortal forms they embody. Mobility is crucial on the battlefield, combat requiring reacting to the enemies' actions, blocking, parrying and making good use of our heroes' abilities, all of whom differ in terms of abilities and weapons. We can also use the help of humanoid animal companions with unique powers. These come in handy both on the battlefield and while solving puzzles.

As we progress through the game, we gain better equipment and unlock new abilities. This lets us face greater challenges and reach previously inaccessible areas.

Technical aspects

Asgard's Wrath features high-quality graphics. The characters, animals, animations and location designs are all very appealing.
