Army Men: Green Rogue (also known as Army Men: Omega Soldier)is another representative of a very popular series. Just like in many other games, we are dealing with the liquidation of miniature plastic soldiers. Subsequent missions are played in locations such as a garage or a garden. Green Rogue is a classic shooter, played in a partially three-dimensional environment. The controlled character, depending on the mission, can be observed in isometric projection or from the third person's perspective. In addition to this PS2 version, Green Rogue has also been released on the first generation of PlayStation. The production and release of this game is traditionally the responsibility of the non-existent 3DO.
During the game we play the role of Omega soldier. However, this is not an ordinary form, as it has been biogenetically improved. This means, of course, a whole range of new types of behaviour that can be used while playing. Traditionally, we are already fighting the Tan army, trying to thwart the plans of villains who want to take control of the world. Green Rogue is a scrolling sketchbook. This means that we travel according to the scheme determined by the manufacturers. After passing a place you cannot return to it anymore.
The control of the main character has been worked out very well. The left analog knob is used for movement, the right knob is responsible for aiming. The new abilities mentioned above allow for faster crackdown on enemies, although the possibility of using traditional givers, such as rifles, shotguns or flame throwers, is also foreseen. Visually Green Rogue looks very poor. The game is in many ways similar to the version released on PSOne. Definitely the worst performed backgrounds. This product has not very complex multiplayer for two people.
