A typical dexterity game in which we sit at the helm of a combat helicopter and eliminate enemies appearing in the vicinity of the helicopter. Plastic soldiers take part in the fights.

Army Men: Air Attack 2 (also known as Army Men: Air Attack - Blade's Revenge) is an official continuation of the game, which had its premiere in 1999. This is also the first product in the series to be released on PS2, although the arcade track was released simultaneously for the first generation of PlayStation. The presented shooter in many ways resembles such productions as Army Men: Air Tactics (PC), or Army Men: Air Combat - The Elite Missions (GCN). Once again we sit at the helm of a military helicopter and our task is to eliminate the enemy units appearing on the screen. You don't have to worry about anything else. Air Attack 2 also refers to such productions as Desert Strike or Air Strike 3D. The 3DO company, which no longer exists, is responsible for the production and release of this game.

Prepared by game producers, the singleleplayer campaign consists of 25 missions. Each of the tasks has, of course, very specific guidelines to follow. The player mainly deals with the destruction of selected ground structures, although there were also missions requiring the protection of certain structures or the acquisition of items located in the occupied by the enemy area. Due to the fact that we are dealing with Army Men series, we can also find plastic objects scattered around the map. However, this is not required for final success.

The player can take control of one of several available machines. The helicopters differ in terms of maximum speed, manoeuvrability and firepower. In addition, you can choose wingers who do not play an important role during the game. The next stages are, of course, played out in such locations as a garden or a guest room. Visually, Air Attack 2 performs very poorly because the PS2 version introduces relatively few changes compared to the first-generation Sony console edition. The presence of a fully fledged multiplayer is worth mentioning. Only two people can join the game.
