A first-person perspective shooter developed by Jaywalkers Interactive and Vertigo Games. The player is taken to the post-apocalyptic areas near the Grand Canyon in Colorado. He is tasked with facing hordes of blood-thirsty zombies. Luckily, he isn’t helpless as he can use melee weapons and various guns (including pistols, machine guns and shotguns).

Arizona Sunshine for PC and PS4 is a three-dimensional zombie shooter developed for virtual reality sets. The title was developed by Jaywalkers Interactive in cooperation with Vertigo Games, the creators of games like World of Diving, Perils of Man and the Adam’s Venture series.

Plot

The game takes place in the titular Arizona state, more precisely near the Grand Canyon. The player is taken to a post-apocalyptic reality in which the world is filled with bloodthirsty zombies. Each time someone hears a human voice through a radio, a spark of hope is created.

Mechanics

The player is tasked with surviving the confrontation with aggressive enemies. A large arsenal of weapons (mostly guns) will help him in that. What’s interesting, zombies aren’t the only obstacle in Arizona Sunshine – during the game the player must also face the hot sun of Arizona and limited supplies of ammunition and food.

Technical aspects

Arizona Sunshine for PC and PS4 has high quality graphics and a realistic physics engine. The full gameplay experience is guaranteed by virtual reality goggles that are required to start the game. The title is fully compatible with the Steam VR service and it was adapted to work with wide variety of devices, including the HTC Vive, a set developed by HTC in cooperation with Valve. This device, in addition to using goggles, also works with wireless motion controllers similar to controllers from Wii or PlayStation Move.
