A network brawl created by the independent Frontline studio. In the game we fight in the tournament with characters trained in various martial arts.
Arena Morte is an online production of the Polish studio Frontline, which was purchased by Nicolas Games, known from Afterfall which was set in a post-apocalyptic universe. Arena Morte is a fighting game maintained in a dark and gloomy convention. The studio responsible for Arena Morte had previously dealt with casual games on PC, Wii or "small" hardware platforms.
Mechanics
The action of the title focuses on online duels with the use of medieval weapons. The fights are fought by abundantly tattooed characters who took part in a deadly tournament. The combat system is about skillful blocks and properly timed attacks. The production was inspired by mixed martial arts, using traditional melee weapons. What is interesting, a great emphasis was placed on integration with social networking sites.
Technical aspects
The game was created on the Trinigy's Vision Engine, but later in the production phase the developer decided on Unreal 3, an extremely popular engine, which was used in such titles as Gears of War, Batman: Arkham series or Afterfall by Nicolas Games.
