Arctic Awakening is a survival episodic adventure game developed by GoldFire Studios.

Plot

In Arctic Awakening the player takes on the role of Kai, a cargo plane pilot. During one of his supply runs in Alaska, his machine breaks down and crashes in the snow-covered wilderness. As a result of the crash, the protagonist's colleague dies without a trace.

Kai takes up the fight against the nature and tries to find the co-pilot and the way home. During this journey he is accompanied only by a small robot controlled by an artificial intelligence.

Mechanics

In Arctic Awakening, the storyline plays a main role. Therefore, the gameplay mechanics are very limited. The whole game is focused mainly on exploring successive locations, conducting dialogues with the artificial intelligence and making decisions that are important for the course of action. Of course, each choice of the player has an impact on his relationship with his companion.

Technical aspects

Arctic Awakening has a colourful, cartoon-style graphic design. The developers have implemented a dynamic weather system, which affects the way the player sees the location.
