Apollo Simulator is a space simulator that allows you to take part in several missions within the Apollo program, aimed at exploring the surface of the Moon. The title has a considerable educational value, imitating the real principles governing extraterrestrial expeditions and recreating the realities of historical expeditions to the Silver Globe. The title was created by a small German Space Dream studio, and distributed by astragon Software, a company specializing in simulators.

The game is divided into two separate stages - in the first of which we take part in the flight into space, starting from the take-off from the Earth to the landing on the surface of the Moon. Thanks to the fully interactive cockpit, the player can modify the flight parameters, changing its speed, course and other elements influencing the journey to the destination. For the purpose of the game, the actual appearance and performance of the LM lunar module, used during the historical Apollo missions, was reproduced, but there were also other ships with different characteristics and technical capabilities.

In the second part, the player is given the opportunity to walk on the surface of the moon in full three-dimensional representation. Among the tasks facing the virtual astronaut is, among others, taking a series of photographs documenting individual fragments of the area, taking samples or reaching the previously indicated point with the rover.

Due to the low-budget nature of the production, the visual setting of the game does not make a great impression, yet astronomy enthusiasts will certainly appreciate the faithfully reproduced models of ships and the possibility of performing a number of space operations shown by means of detailed animations.
