Aperture Desk Job Description
Aperture Desk Job was developed to showcase the capabilities of the Steam Deck platform. It is a game with elements of walking sims and simulation games. Aperture Desk Job was developed by Valve.
Plot
Aperture Desk Job takes place in the universe created for the Portal and Half-Life series. We take on the role of a new employee of Aperture Science. During the first day of work at a subordinate position our task is to test various products of this corporation.
Game mechanics
In Aperture Desk Job we observe the action from a first person perspective (FPP). We sit at our desks and look at devices created in Aperture Science laboratories, playing with them and learning what they can do. The whole experience is tongue-in-cheek, so our tests are full of various (and often spectacular) mishaps. The projects themselves also make you smile, including an original toilet modification.
Technical aspects
Graphics in Aperture Desk Job are on a high level of quality. Both the interiors of the Aperture Science headquarters and the designs of the various equipment are beautifully detailed.
