Aperion Cyberstorm released on PC, XONE and etc. is a fast-paced, bullet hell, 2D title in which the player controls a flying ship. Developed by the independent studio aPriori Digital, this debut-project brings to mind classic titles from the 90s. The game is designed for both single and online gameplay.

Mechanics

The production by aPriori Digital is twin-stick, bullet hell shooter. The rules are plain and simple – you fly a ship on dangerous, 2D maps and eliminate enemies. Aperion Cyberstorm put out on PC, XONE and etc. offers +10 various ships and a similar number of abilities from which you choose two that fit your playstyle best. The game from aPriori Digital features a number of options that make gameplay more enjoyable, e.g. auto-fire or a mode designed for playing with one hand.

Game modes

Aperion Cyberstorm offers three game modes. Each can be played solo or locally, with four other users. The Campaign mode introduces the plot – you need to find your lost ship and discover an evil conspiracy. While doing so, you find new vessels and improve skills. There are six difficulty levels (initially, three are locked). In the Versus mode, you fight other players or ships controlled by AI. The game features many types of battles, over 30 maps, and loads of customisable gameplay options. The last game mode – Onslaught – consists in fending off as many waves of opponents as you can. By winning, you earn stars with which new maps can be unlocked.
