America's Army: Rise of a Soldier Description
America's Army: Rise of a Soldier is a console version of one of the most realistic modern military simulation games originally designed for personal computers.
You start by creating your soldier (there are lots of options you can customize from appearance to qualities and skills), and then help him climb up the military chain of command. This is where players get to choose, whether they want to focus on one particular military role (sharpshooter, scout, medic, etc.) or do everything it takes to be promoted to a leader of a special task force.
While playing, you can lay your hands on authentic weapons and gear used by the American Army, and face challenges common to the U.S. soldiers (urban combat, rescuing hostages, patrolling an area, etc.). Just as in the game’s PC counterpart, the key to success are quick reflexes, strategic thinking, and cooperation with fellow squad members.
The audio-visuals are solid (starting from soldier models and the weapons they use, to battlefields, through to sounds of shots and blasts). America's Army: Rise of a Soldier also offers expansive online multiplayer for up to 16 people (via Network Adapter connected to the console).
The parties responsible for the game are: the American Army with its financial and logistic support, Ubisoft publishing company, and the developer studio Secret Level.
