Prepared by Matrix Software Alundra 2 is an action RPG, in which great emphasis was put on puzzles and logic challenges. The game abandons the dark and serious topic known from the first game to present the history of a fictional world and its inhabitants in much more joyful tones.
Story
The Kingdom of Varuna. Power is exercised by the mighty sorcerer Mephisto, who can use magic keys to control people and transform all living beings into obedient subjects. One of the inhabitants of the land is a young pirate Flint, chased for betrayal by an arrest warrant. One day, the boy accidentally meets Princess Alexia and agrees to help her establish the truth about the circumstances of her father's disappearance. She hopes that by tracing the pirates she suspects, led by Baron Diaz, she will also find people responsible for the death of her parents. Soon, as a result of the coincidence of various events, his fates intersect with the fates of the sorcerer, and the responsibility for the fate of the whole world falls on Flint's shoulders.
Mechanics
Alundra 2 is an action RPG where the main character is watched by a camera suspended above his head. In addition to typical battles against dozens of enemies, the players will also face numerous logic and platform challenges. The developers used the new possibilities of moving from 2D to 3D graphics to design new types of puzzles and diversify the exploration. The main character has at his disposal simple sword and shield attacks, as well as stronger combinations of attacks and special abilities acquired through the items he finds. The fun is enriched by numerous mini-games, enabling us to take a break from typical missions. These included darts, bullfighting, remote-controlled car racing or paper, rock, scissors.
Technical aspects
Alundra 2 uses three-dimensional visuals, enabling us, among other things, to observe the world created by Matrix Software from every perspective. The title is distinguished by a solid audio layer, with dialogues recorded by such actors as Jennifer Hale, Earl Boen or Dee Bradley Baker.
