Alter Cosmos is a 2D point-and-click adventure game set in the future on a planet ruled by a totalitarian government. The game's producer is Polish company Pyramid Studios, mostly known for mobile productions. The graphic designer was Lukasz Samsonowicz (also known as Zimzonowicz), who works as a comic book illustrator, as well as a graphic and poster artist. The game was inspired by such movies and series as Alien, Mad Max, and The Walking Dead, comic book characters such as Lobo, Batman or Wolverine, and the game Machinarium.

Plot

In Alter Cosmos you play as Aliencat, a mutant, who's a hybrid of a cat, human, and alien. He desires to escape a planet ruled by a totalitarian government. Before he fulfills his dream, he has to face many challenges, find allies, and ready his ship for space travel. The story features a satirical-humorous tone.

Mechanics

Alter Cosmos is a typical point-and-click adventure game with 2D visuals. You explore locations, collect items, interact with the environment, talk to NPCs, and solve logic puzzles. Sometimes you also have to complete short arcade segments, such as simple battles against enemies.

Technical aspects

Alter Cosmos features a comic-book-like style with sharp outlines, typical for indie comics. The soundtrack was composed by Przemyslaw Bielecki and Damian Zwolinski and it's a blend of such genres as posthardcore, rockabilly, surff, punk, and funk.
